A lot of TV shows, magazines, and social media accounts are built around food and exercise. You get bombarded every day with a ton of unhealthy and crazy diets.

Maybe you heard about Christian Bale’s insane 250 calories per day regimen or Queen B’s juice cleanse diet with cayenne pepper juice. The results are insane, but the diets are damaging, demanding, and unsustainable. Luckily, not all celebrities and public figures promote these fads.

There are still famous people out there who deserve our attention and accolade for their diets.

This article reveals the rich and famous who are either on or who have tried the Carnivore Diet as well as a bonus section showing a few well known Hollywood and sports legends on the Paleo Diet.

Famous People on Carnivore Diet

Carnivore Dieters

Before we get started we should provide a quick intro on the carnivore diet. What is it you ask? It’s about as simple as it gets. You eat meat, add salt and drink water. That’s the hardcore version!

If the carnivore diet is somewhat new or if you want to brush up on why someone would perhaps want to try it then hit up this link when you’re done with this article.

When you’re ready to start your carnivore journey this article will help you out.

Joe Rogan

With millions of listeners, comedian Joe Rogan enjoys keeping his listeners on their tip-toes with all the controversial topics he tackles. In January 2020, he attempted a 30- day challenge to adopt the carnivore diet. He wanted to see how this will affect his battle against vitiligo.

Rogan’s diet was simple; it consisted of two meals a day, one around noon and then dinner. For breakfast, he would munch on six eggs, and then a beef steak, grass-fed elk for dinner, or other wild cuts like bison.

He reported his journey on his Instagram account, and it was all positives except for explosive diarrhea that lasted for the first two weeks only.

Moreover, he was amazed by his new heightened levels of energy, the overall feeling of being healthy, and a 12-pound loss in one month.

As for his disorder, Rogan said: ‘’Lots of aches and pains went away, and I have improvements in my vitiligo’’.

After a month on the Carnivore Diet, Joe shares his experience.

The Buff Dudes

Another carnivore diet challenge was carried out by Hudson and Brandon White a.k.a. the Buff Dudes.

As the name suggests, they are two dudes with a great physique and a massive interest in nutrition and exercise.

They are the epitome of health influencers with an astounding 2.12 YouTube subscribers and millions of views.

While both brothers also underwent a 30-day challenge together, one seemed to like it much more than the other. Hudson especially enjoyed the diet for its simplicity.

On the other hand, Brandon wasn’t relishing the amount of meat he was consuming and the lack of variety. Also, Brandon suffered from constipation.

They had two hard-boiled eggs before the gym, then bacon and eggs after working out. Lunch is ground beef and dinner is a rib-eye steak.

Both of them agreed that the diet didn’t affect their workouts and is great for weight loss as Brandon lost 12 pounds.

Mark and Chris Bell

Next up is a powerlifter, entrepreneur, and fitness influencer, and a man that likes to call himself the “meathead millionaire.”

Yes, it is Mark Bell. If you don’t know him, you should.

He invented numerous powerlifting products, most notably the slingshot, and is famous for changing the world of powerlifting. As you can imagine he has an intense exercise routine and follows strict diets.

Mark is one big Carnivore diet enthusiast, but his brother, Chris, is a whole different story.

Chris was addicted to drugs and alcohol, but he is now shredded and lifts remarkable weights with two artificial hips whilst eating a 99% carnivorous diet.

Fun fact: he started in 1994 and lost 20 pounds in two weeks just by eating red meat and water. He kept it up for a couple of years, dropped it, and picked it up again in January 2018 while working on his documentary ‘’War against carbs’’.

Jordan and Mikhaila Peterson

Another family duo embarking on the Carnivore diet life is Jordan and Mikhaila Peterson.

However, this daughter and father adopted the diet for life.

Jordan is a University of Toronto psychologist, YouTube star, best-selling author, and an influential thought leader.

His daughter Mikhaila suffered from a horrible arthritic condition that injured 40 of her joints and forced her into a deep depression. Her illness was so severe that at just fifteen years of age, she required a hip and ankle replacement.

She had tons of drugs and tried eliminating different foods from her diet. As she improved dramatically with elimination, Mikhaila kept eliminating until she was left with beef, salt, and water.

Apparently, it worked out so well for her that she no longer needs any medications. The Petersons swear by the Carnivore diet and are one of its most vocal supporters.

Shawn Baker

We can’t mention the carnivore diet without mentioning Dr. Shawn Baker. He is an orthopedic surgeon, an elite athlete, and a ruthless carnivore enthusiast.

He wrote the book about the carnivore diet, literally.

He has 40,000 Instagram followers and is the admin of the biggest carnivore diet supporting Facebook group the ‘’World Carnivore Tribe’’.

He also runs MeatRX.com; a site promoting animal products and the carnivore diet which hosts many inspiring transformations too.

Baker prides the diet for fueling his sports accomplishments and overall health. He has been on it for quite some time now and follows a strict diet consisting of 95% red meat, the rest is eggs, cheese, and seafood.

Paleo Diet World

The Paleo Diet is a fantastic food protocol and the one that pointed me in the direction of the ancestral style of eating and eventually the carnivore diet.

This diet is essentially a whole foods approach that tries to mimic what our ancestors ate. So it includes meat, fruits, and veggies.

People who attempt this diet usually see improved health results.

Matthew McConaughey

Hollywood’s megastar, McConaughey was featured on People’s 20th anniversary of Sexiest Man Alive. His body is iconic and so are his transformations to fit in different roles.

You probably saw how he lost about 50 pounds for his role in ‘’Dallas Buyers Club’’. Surprisingly, he didn’t go extreme and shed those pounds while eating a lot of fish and veggies.

Matthew not only follows the Paleo diet but also takes the ‘’80/20 rule’’ as his motto. As he once said ‘’It’s not a diet; it’s a lifestyle.”

His diet consists of high-fiber low-starch veggies, proteins, and a healthy amount of nutritious fats. He enjoys one glass of wine per day and protein whey shakes to support his intense exercise routine.

Los Angeles Sunsrise

Miley Cyrus

Miley says, “Everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, physical, and mental health is amazing. You won’t go back!”

Those are her words on the Paleo diet. The star suffers from gluten and lactose allergies.

Therefore, it is no surprise that she is particularly fervent about the gluten-free dairy-free side of the diet. Miley reached her target weight only with Paleo after trying all diets she could put her hands on.

Since being Paleo, she can notice the diet’s positive impact on both her mental and physical health. She plans on sticking with it for life.

Anne Hathaway

Hathaway enjoyed her vegan lifestyle for years. She was the poster child for a plant-based diet, and she even had a vegan menu for her wedding.

However, she wised up and left that dumb lifestyle behind her.

While filming Interstellar, she struggled to walk in her 40-pound spacesuit. Her energy levels were depleted, and she had no strength at all. Not feeling good or healthy devastated her; however, she was forced to eat salmon at a certain event because she was out of options.

She said: “I had a piece of salmon and my brain felt like a computer rebooting.” As you can imagine, that was a turning point.

Since then, she sticks with a high protein paleo with loads of fish and poultry and is happier, healthier, and stronger than she can ever remember. Good for her!

Basketball

LeBron James

LeBron is one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history. LeBron is also known for trying out different diets like keto, paleo, and a Keto-paleo diet approach.

He was inspired to be a paleo devotee after witnessing the transformation of his former teammate, Ray Allen.

All this sports superstar ate for 67 days straight was meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit. He had to eliminate sugar, dairy, and almost all carbs.

This helped him lose around twenty pounds. The legend credits his leadership of the Cleveland Cavaliers National Championship to his paleo-inspired diet too.

Conclusion

Social media usually flips over the extreme diets and fads and skips on sustainable healthy diets.

However, we are lucky to see many public figures and stars reaching out to their fans and trying to promote a healthy lifestyle to millions.

I believe as more people notice the potential benefits of the carnivore diet we will see more “famous people” trying it and spreading the positive lifestyle that can come with it.

If the carnivore diet is new to you these two books written by two awesome doctors will do the trick. I highly recommend them!
